Adoration

Adoration

Holy Family has had a wonderful history of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. We have always loved having people join us in worship. In our new church, we have placed a special chapel to continue this devotion in reverence and respect. It is located on the lower level with its own entrance on the West end.

Those in the Ogden area who have visited regularly know the code to enter. In this, we honor Our Blessed Lady in her Immaculate Conception. To enter, find the keypad, enter the code, use the asterisk, and wait as the door will automatically open. From there, enter, pray, and be silent.

Hours

While we have had many faithful adorers over the years, we still are not able to have two at all times, especially during the night. Therefore, the Parish Council has limited the hours:

  • Mondays-Fridays: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Church

If you wish, you may commit to an adoration hour by signing the book in the vestibule. But it is not a requirement to commit. You are welcome to simply stop at any time for any length of time, if even for a quick visit to honor our Creator and Lord, and to gather strength in His Presence.

At holiday times the chapel will be officially closed to give people the chance to spend time with their families. Check the outer door for such announcements. If you have any questions, please contact: Patti Hambleton

This is a moment of peaceful time in the presence of the Real Lord, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. Do not leave any pamphlets or articles in the chapel. They will be discarded. This is a place for private prayer as individuals.  This is not a time for shared public prayer. This is a good time to practice Lectio Divina.

Jesus asks, “Will you not watch one hour with me?”
