Order of Christian Initiation of Adults – OCIA
The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults is the process for adults to prepare for full, active members of the Roman Catholic Church. Educational discussions are held in the Education Building, which is the east of the church, from 9:00-10:15 am on Sundays.
The calendar of discussion sessions follows the academic school year. We have a great team of presenters including Father Joseph Minuth, a Lay Ecclesial Minister, leaders of the Bible Study Group at Holy Family, and very knowledgeable laypeople. As the process continues, OCIA participants are dismissed for part of the Mass to break open the readings from that Mass, to apply them to their personal lives, and to deepen their faith.
Our OCIA group participates in all parish activities, visits Catholic Community Services, and attends all Diocesan OCIA events. OCIA classes are from September thru Easter. For more information please contact Nelda Troyer at ntroyer@hfutah.org
